Good to know
- CTC includes employer contributions (employer PF, EDLI, employer ESI) that are never paid to you directly.
- PF is calculated on Basic + DA capped at the ₹25,000/month wage ceiling (raised from ₹15,000 on 17 Sep 2026) unless PF is paid on the full amount.
- ESI applies only when gross salary is ₹21,000/month or below — above that, neither side contributes.
- The new regime has a ₹75,000 standard deduction and allows no HRA, 80C, 80D or home-loan-interest deductions. The old regime has ₹50,000.

How this calculator works
Your Cost to Company (CTC) is split into Basic + DA, HRA, and other allowances, plus employer-side contributions (employer PF, EDLI, employer ESI) that never reach your bank account. From the resulting gross salary, employee PF, employee ESI (if applicable), state Professional Tax, and income tax (TDS) are deducted to arrive at your monthly take-home pay. Income tax is computed using the FY 2026-27 slab rates (unchanged from FY 2025-26) for both the old and new regime, including the Section 87A rebate, applicable surcharge with marginal relief, and 4% health & education cess — so you can compare which regime actually saves you more.
