What it does
Inside Organization Hierarchy
See your whole reporting structure as a live org chart, colour-coded by level, and fix reporting lines in a click.
- Live org chart: The whole reporting structure as a chart you can drag to move around and zoom in and out of.
- Colour-coded levels: Configure role levels from L1 to L6, plus members, and each card on the chart shows its level by colour.
- Unassigned members: Employees with no reporting person are listed beside the chart, with a search, and are placed by picking their reporting person.
- Edit reporting from the chart: Change a person’s reporting manager straight from their card.
- Multiple reporting managers: An employee can report to more than one manager, and the chart shows it.
- Find anyone fast: Search for an employee, expand or collapse the chart, and hide unassigned members to focus.
- Structure at a glance: See how many people are assigned, how many are unassigned and how many levels deep the organisation goes.

What changes
What changes on day one.
What teams notice in the first weeks of Organization Hierarchy on SleetHR.
- Everyone can see who reports to whom, from the top of the company down to each team member.
- Each person’s level shows by colour, so the shape of the organisation is clear at a glance.
- Employees without a reporting person are listed separately, so no one is left out of approvals.
- Reporting lines are changed from the chart itself, not from a separate form.
- People who report to two managers are shown with both.
- Approvals for leave, attendance and expenses follow the reporting lines you set here.

What is an organization hierarchy in HRMS?
It is the reporting structure of the company: who reports to whom. SleetHR shows it as an org chart and uses it to route approvals.
Can an employee report to two managers?
Yes. An employee can have more than one reporting manager, and the chart shows each of them.
How do I find employees who have no reporting manager?
They are listed as unassigned members beside the chart, with a count and a search. Pick a reporting person for each one to place them.
What do the colours on the org chart mean?
Each colour is a role level. You configure the levels, from L1 to L6 plus members, and every card shows its level.
Does the hierarchy affect approvals?
Yes. Requests such as leave go to the reporting manager set in the hierarchy, so keeping it current keeps approvals going to the right people.
