Resignation to F&F

One Exit Flow

  • Step 1

    Resign and Approve

The employee resigns in the app. The manager and HR approve, and the notice period and last working day are set.

  • Step 2

    Clear and Recover

Each department signs off its clearance, assets are returned, and the employee completes the exit interview.

  • Step 3

    Settle and Relieve

Payroll calculates the full and final settlement, and the relieving and experience letters are generated.

What it does

Inside Exit Management

Run resignations, clearance and full and final settlement in one flow, and close every exit properly.

  • Resignation in the app: The employee submits a resignation with a reason and a proposed last day, and it goes to the manager and HR for approval.
  • Notice period and last working day: SleetHR tracks the notice period from your policy and sets the last working day, with any notice shortfall shown for settlement.
  • Exit clearance: A clearance checklist goes to each department (IT, admin, finance and the manager) and each one signs off its part.
  • Asset recovery: Assets the employee holds appear in clearance, and are marked off as they are returned.
  • Full and final settlement: Payroll calculates the settlement: salary for days worked, leave encashment, gratuity where due, and recoveries such as notice shortfall or advances.
  • Exit interview: Send the leaving employee an exit interview form and keep their answers on record.
  • Relieving and experience letters: Generate relieving and experience letters from your templates with the employee’s details filled in.

What changes

What changes on day one.

What teams notice in the first weeks of Exit Management on SleetHR.

  • Resignations come in through the app and go to the right approvers, not to a manager’s inbox.
  • The notice period and last working day are worked out and visible to HR, the manager and the employee.
  • Every department signs off its clearance, so nothing is missed before the last day.
  • Full and final settlement is calculated in payroll from the employee’s own salary, leave and recoveries.
  • Exit interviews tell you why people leave, in their own words.
  • Relieving and experience letters are generated from your templates, ready on the last day.

What is exit management?

Exit management is the process from an employee’s resignation to their last day: approvals, notice period, clearance from each department, return of company assets, full and final settlement and the relieving letter.

Can employees resign from the SleetHR app?

Yes. The employee submits the resignation with a reason and a proposed last day. It goes to the manager and HR for approval, and the notice period and last working day are set from your policy.

How does exit clearance work?

A clearance checklist goes to each department, such as IT, admin, finance and the reporting manager. Each one signs off its part, and assets the employee holds must be returned before clearance is complete.

What does the full and final settlement include?

Payroll calculates salary for the days worked, leave encashment, gratuity where it is due, and recoveries such as notice period shortfall or outstanding advances, so the settlement matches the employee’s own records.

Can we run exit interviews in SleetHR?

Yes. Send the leaving employee an exit interview form. Their answers are kept on record so HR can see why people leave.

Does SleetHR generate relieving and experience letters?

Yes. Relieving and experience letters are generated from your templates with the employee’s name, role, dates and details filled in.

How does exit connect to assets and payroll?

Assets the employee holds appear in their clearance, and the full and final settlement is calculated in payroll, so HR does not move information between separate systems.
