What it does
Inside File Sharing & Comments
Attach files and discuss work in context, right on the task.
Contextual thread discussionsTag teammates with @mentions, reply to specific comments inline, and format notes with rich text (bold, lists, code blocks) for technical discussions.
Cloud file attachmentsUpload Figma links, Google Docs, PDFs, MP4 videos, design assets, and zip archives up to 250MB directly on the task card.
Version-controlled file historyTrack every revision of an uploaded file, restore any previous version, and ensure the team always works from the latest approved draft.
Internal vs client-visible commentsMark comments as "Internal Only" or "Client Visible" with clear color badges so client-facing threads stay professional.
Full activity audit trailTimestamped, immutable log of every action — task created, assigned, reassigned, commented on, file added, status changed, and closed — per task.
Real-time notificationsPush, email, and in-app alerts fire the moment a teammate @mentions you, replies to your comment, or uploads a file on a task you are watching.
How it works
File Sharing & Comments in 3 steps
01
Attach AssetDrag and drop wireframes, contracts, design comps, or screenshots directly onto the task card.02
@Mention TeamTag the approver with @name; they receive a push notification and can comment or approve in one place.03
Single ThreadEvery message, file, and decision is preserved in one permanent, searchable, audit-ready thread. Why teams switch
What changes on day one.
- Design feedback stops living in a WhatsApp group nobody can search later.
- Every decision has a permanent, timestamped record — no "who approved this?" mystery.
- Clients see exactly what they should, and nothing they shouldn't, in the same thread.
- New team members can read a task's history and understand the full context instantly.
- File versions stop overwriting each other because everyone works from the latest draft.
- Approvals happen in context, next to the actual work, not three apps away.
Questions
File Sharing & Comments: FAQs
Standard plans include 100GB of secure encrypted cloud storage per workspace. Enterprise plans include unlimited storage with dedicated bucket isolation per client or project.
Yes. Access is controlled by task-level permissions — only assigned team members and invited guests can download files.
Yes. Paste a link to any Google Doc, Figma design, Notion page, Loom video, or external URL. It appears as a rich preview card on the task, and clicking it opens the document in a new tab.
Yes. The project-wide search indexes all comment text, file names, and task descriptions. Type any keyword and Sleet Task surfaces all matching tasks, comments, and files across the entire project instantly.
Yes. Comments are tagged as "Internal Only" or "Client Visible." Client portal users see only the client-visible thread; internal comments are hidden from external views.
When a team member uploads a new version of an existing file, the previous version is archived rather than overwritten. Any team member can restore an older version at any time, and every version has a timestamp and uploader name.
Every action on a task — created, edited, assigned, commented on, file added, status changed, approved, or closed — is logged with the exact user, timestamp, and before/after values. This provides an immutable record for internal audits or client disputes.
