Good to know

  • By default, pensionable salary is capped at ₹25,000/month, unless the member validly opted for higher pension on actual salary.
  • Formula: Monthly Pension = (Pensionable Salary × Pensionable Service) ÷ 70.
  • If pensionable service reaches 20+ years, EPFO adds a 2-year bonus to the service count used in the formula.
  • A minimum of 10 years of service is required to become eligible for monthly pension on retirement.

How this calculator works

Using the standard EPS-95 formula, Monthly Pension = (Pensionable Salary × Pensionable Service) ÷ 70, where pensionable salary is capped at the EPF wage ceiling (₹15,000 until 16 September 2026 and ₹25,000 from 17 September 2026) and based on your average salary over the last 60 months.
