Who is Sleet GST Filing for?
CA firms and tax practitioners who file for many clients, and businesses that file their own GSTIN. A firm works from My Clients, with one workspace per client. A business that bills on Sleet files from Billing → GST Returns, on the same screens.
Can we file returns on the GST portal from Sleet?
Today Sleet prepares and checks each return and gives you the portal JSON and Excel, and you or your CA upload and file it on the GST portal. Filing from Sleet itself, saving to the portal and filing with EVC with the ARN recorded, is built and coming soon, once our GST portal connection is live.
Where does the return data come from?
A client who bills on Sleet can link their books after approving your request, and the returns read straight from them. Any other client sends sales and purchases in Excel or JSON on our template, and rows with errors can be fixed on screen. A billing company locks each month when it is final, and returns warn while a month is still open.
Does it handle QRMP and composition clients?
Yes. QRMP clients file IFF in the first two months of a quarter and GSTR‑1 for the quarter. Composition clients get CMP‑08 for each quarter and GSTR‑4 for the year, with their own workspace tabs.
How does matching with GSTR‑2B work?
Upload the GSTR‑2B JSON from the portal, and every purchase is sorted into matched, amounts differ, probable match, not in 2B, only in 2B, or credit not available. Bills of Entry are matched with the 2B’s import data, and GSTR‑3B flags credit claimed above the 2B. Downloading the 2B from the portal, and IMS, are coming soon.
Does it prepare GSTR‑9 and GSTR‑9C?
Yes. GSTR‑9 is built from the year’s returns and books, and GSTR‑9C is the reconciliation statement. The Rule 42 annual true-up is worked out and settled through a GSTR‑3B or a DRC‑03 payment.
Can it track GST notices?
Yes. Your team adds each notice, choosing from 14 notice types, and Sleet works out the reply due date. It records the reply, hearing, order and appeal as a timeline, splits the demand into tax, interest, penalty and late fee, and reminds the person assigned. Fetching notices from the portal is not available yet.
Can our clients see what we change?
Yes. On the client’s side, CA Access shows every read and change your firm made. The client answers your change requests, and gives or removes edit access whenever they like.
What does it cost?
GST Filing runs on Sleet Accounting: ₹350 per user per year on Basic or ₹800 on Enterprise, billed yearly, with no setup fee. GST invoicing and e-way bills are on every plan; e-invoicing starts on Enterprise.
